Documents are recorded daily from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every working day. For walk-in recordings, we will mail the document back in 3-4 weeks from the recording date. For documents sent via mail, we will mail the document back in 4-6 weeks from the date of receipt. The standard recording fee for a single document in which all of the pages are regular size (8-1/2" x 11") is $8.00 for the first page and $3.00 for each additional page. If ANY of the pages are larger or smaller, a penalty fee of $3.00 is charged for each page of the document (whether letter or legal sized). For documents transferring real property or easements, unless the document qualifies for a valid exemption, documentary transfer tax is due at the rate of 55 cents per $500.00, and is based on the unencumbered assessed value of the property, OR the purchase price; WHICHEVER IS GREATER. You may send one check for both recording fees and transfer tax.
